London’s Treasures

The corner of an old map of the world called Mercator's Projection

One of London's Treasures - Mercator's Projection

London has many old treasures on public display and this old Mercator’s Projection map of The World is one of them. It’s located in my favourite London Underground station, a place with real atmosphere which features in many London Treasure Hunts.

Can anyone tell me which station?

Mexican Wave With Real Mexicans

Mexican Wave

This team earned an extra bonus point for finding a group of real Mexicans on holiday in London to help them out with their Mexican Wave. I wonder if they thought that this was something that is a bit of a trend in the UK?

No, it’s just more of the usual fun on our London Treasure Hunt.

Happy New Year 2012

It’s already started well with trips to Dublin and Jersey in January. Last year we saw Lisbon and Paris as well as many trips to London and beautiful Edinburgh.

Travel is one of the great advantages of Treasure Hunting and we’re very excited about what 2012 has in store. Looking out of the window today somewhere warm would be nice!

Treasure Hunt Celebrity Spotting

Treasure Hunting Team Meets Ken Livingstone

Added to the list of celebrities spotted on our London Treasure Hunt is former London Mayor Ken Livingstone who met one of our teams and was kind enough to stop for a photo. It always adds to the fun when one of the teams meets someone famous and can earn them vital bonus points.

City Treasure Hunts

City Treasure Hunts are a fantastic way to explore the sights of a city. Capital cities such as London and Paris are obvious choices and the key is not to choose major tourist attractions, for no-one wants to spend their event standing in queues. There are many fascinating off beat places to visit and the experienced writer will ensure that the treasure hunt is filled with these.

Cathedral cities in the UK make excellent locations for a treasure hunt, for example Oxford and Winchester.
